In October 2018, the subreddit r/UnoReverse was launched "for those moments/conversations where someone is destroyed by a metaphorical Uno reverse card." The subreddit acquired 107 members in eight months. On May 10th, 2018, Imgur user thefloralgalaxy uploaded a photoshopped version of an Uno card that reads "No U" (shown below, left). The definition received 69 likes and 9 dislikes in a year. On April 18th, 2018, Urban Dictionary user Coolkid87611 defined the Uno reverse card as "An upgraded no u" providing the example of: "Me: insults my friend. If used in a round with two people, it will act as a block card, a different card which skips the turn of the next player. The reverse card can reverse the turn cycle of a game and can be stacked. ![]() The one card in there is the Reverse Card. As a resolution to the disagreement, Robbins invented a new card game and dubbed it “Uno.” This makes sense as the game is very similar to Crazy Eights. Supposedly, he had an argument with his son about the rules of another popular card game, Crazy Eights. Uno was invented in 1971 by a man named Merle Robbins. Reverse card is a card from the game Uno.
